Louis Vuitton Fall / Winter 2011
Louis Vuitton’s forthcoming fall-winter campaign has it all: pretty young women, striking vintage cars, vaguely fetishistic fashions and adorable pooches. After many speculations about who will be the lucky six girls that will be featured on the Fall Winter 2011 campaign of Louis Vuitton, it has been confirmed : Zuzanna Bijoch, Daphne Groeneveld, Gertrud Hegelund, Nyasha Matonhodze, Anaïs Pouliot and Fei Fei Sun. But don`t think that the only casting emotions were those of the upcoming models, in fact dozens of canine hopefuls turned out for the casting, with only seven pedigreed pairs making the cut.
Accessories also share the spotlight, including high-heeled rubber boots, officer caps, driving gloves and variations on the Lockit handbag, including one crocodile version that can be chained to a diamond-pavéd handcuff.
“Who wouldn’t want to be this gorgeous young woman in the back seat of this beautiful car?” asks Marc Jacobs, Vuitton’s artistic director. It is slated to break in the August issues.
These amazing images styled by Karl Templer with vaguely fetishistic fashions, furs, exotic skinned bags, pooches and vintage cars, has been photographed by the renowned Steven Meisel and another amazing collaboration of Pat McGrath and Guido Palau in make up and hair section!
Dior introduces The Mitzah Palette
Since Mr. Dior first introduced the Jungle panther print into his collections, the fabulous print has become an emblematic House reference. Feline and irresistible, it brings to life the audacious and provocative side of the Dior Woman, whilst remaining extremely elegant. So for 2011 Dior has decided to add another product to the feline line.
This new palette, is named The Mitzah Palette and inspired by Dior Muse, Mitzah Bricard who was known for her love of red lipstick and animal print. Legend has it that Mitzah used to wear a panther print chiffon scarf at her wrist to hide a scar. Fascinated by her elegance, Mr Dior decided to include this magnificent Jungle motif in his collections from 1947 onwards.
“Madame Bricard is one of the rare people for whom elegance is their sole reason for living,” Christian Dior.
The palette has been made in a very similar way to that of the Renee Gruau palette - handmade and handfinished, and the attention to detail is sublime, making it an even more time consuming and complicated layering process than even the Gruau.
The line consists of 3 beauty products. First up in the collection is an eyeshadow palette, the soft cream can be used for highlighting, with the browns being used for contouring and lining, or if preferred all colors can be mixed together with your brush and applied that way.
